TACTICS named most improved student org at SOAR '25

The annual Student Organizations’ Awards Rites (SOAR) once again celebrated excellence, innovation, and dedication within the university’s vibrant student life community. Held on June 13, 2025, this year’s event carried the inspiring theme: "SOAR 2025: Planet x Ateneo – Hope Grows Here," highlighting sustainability, resilience, and growth across student initiatives.

Notably, The Technological, Information, and Computing Sciences (TACTICS) received the Most Improved Organization Award for demonstrating the most significant year-on-year growth among all recognized student organizations.

According to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), the award is based on a comprehensive evaluation of each organization’s performance through its information system. This system aggregates holistic performance indicators—ranging from project implementation, participation, documentation, and organizational development—and compares each group’s metrics from the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 academic years.

With a remarkable 36.88% increase in performance, TACTICS topped all other student organizations in terms of growth.

Joining TACTICS as nominees for the award were Remontados Debate Society (REMON), Samahang Tagapagtaguyod ng Edukasyong Pilipino (STEP), Christ’s Youth in Action (CYA), Ateneo Animal Management and Nurturing Network (ATAMANN), and Tourismo Ateneo (TA)—each demonstrating admirable improvements and contributions throughout the year.

This recognition serves not only as a celebration of achievement but also as a reminder that growth is always possible with clear goals, consistent effort, and a passion to serve.
